About This Quote

Some like to believe it’s the book that chooses the person. This quote is in reference to the fact that in our society, books are valued over people. A person’s worth is often measured by their reading material. Unfortunately, this conception of literature does not view the value of books when it comes to choosing people to become friends with. When someone is chosen for friendship, it is based on personality and interests rather than their ability to read books.
